Connect with Claude

The easiest route: Claude already sees your work tools through its own connectors. A scheduled routine checks what you finished each evening and sends it to Ironvale.

1. Add the connector

  1. Sign in to Ironvale in your browser (the account button, top right of the game).
  2. In Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app), open Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Ironvale Idle and use this URL (it's also shown in the game under Account > Finished items):
    https://ironvaleidle.com/api/mcp
  4. Click Connect. An Ironvale page opens: check it says you're signed in, and where it will return to, then press Allow.

The connector can do two things only: send finished items and read your play time. It can't see or change your save.

2. Schedule a routine

Make sure Claude can see your work tools (for example its GitHub, Jira, Linear or Asana connectors). Then create a scheduled task that runs every evening, say at 18:00, with this prompt:

Every evening, check what I finished today in my work tools and send it to Ironvale Idle.

1. Look at the tools I have connected (for example GitHub: pull requests I authored that were merged today and pull requests I reviewed today; Jira, Linear or Asana: issues and tasks assigned to me that moved to Done today).
2. Call submit_finished_items once with all of them. For each item send only:
   - source: the tool, lowercase (github, jira, linear, asana, ...)
   - id: the tool's own id or key for the item
   - type: pr_merged, pr_reviewed, issue_closed, ticket_closed or task_completed
   - completedAt: when it was finished (ISO 8601)
Never send titles, descriptions, repository or project names, or anything else. Re-sending an item is harmless.
3. Call get_credit_status and tell me in one line how much play time I have.

Run it once by hand first. If the routine misses a day, items up to a week old still count for the day they were finished.

The two tools

ToolWhat it does
submit_finished_itemsTakes { items: [{ source, id, type, completedAt }] }, up to 200 at a time. Repeats count once, so it's safe to call again. Any other field is ignored.
get_credit_statusPlay time left, today against your benchmark, and this and last week's counts.

Claude Code and other clients

Clients that can set a header can use a personal token to authenticate. Make one in the game (Account > Finished items > Create a personal token; it's shown once), then:

claude mcp add --transport http ironvale https://ironvaleidle.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ivp_..."

Disconnecting

In the game, Account > Finished items > Disconnect, or remove the connector in Claude. Signing out everywhere ends your sessions but leaves connectors and tokens working until you revoke them.
